The PowerBook 190 was introduced in August 1995 at an initial price of $1700, and was discontinued in June 1996. It was the last 680X0 computer Apple ever built. It came with 4 MB of RAM, a 640x480 9.5” screen, a 66 MHZ Motorola 68LC040 processor, a 500 MB hard drive, 1.4 MB 3.5” floppy drive, an expansion bay, and to PC card slots. We purchased ours from one of the major Mac catalog sales companies (MacConnection, MacMall or MacWarehouse) in late 1996 or early 1997 for a considerable discount from the original price, since it was a discontinued model.
