Obituary:
“Goldie McClellan, 85, of Wind Ridge, RD 1, died at y:30 a.m. Sunday, May 30, 1971 in Ohio Valley Hospital, Wheeling, W. Va. She had been seriously ill for four weeks.
Mrs. McClellan was born July 1, 1885, in Richhill Township, a daughter of the late Peter and Parthenia Mundell Chess.
She was married November 22, 1903, to James B. McClellan, who died November 6, 1947.
For many years Mrs. McClellan lived at Graysville, and since 1912 she has resided at Wind Ridge. For the past few years she lived with her son, James E. McClellan. She was a member of the Wind Ridge Christian Church, Loyal Women’s Club and the Long Run Church of God Ladies Group.
Surviving are three daughters; Mrs. Lawrence (Anna) Perry, of Holbrook; Mrs. Paul (Naomi) Whipkey, of WInd Ridge; and Mrs. Ray (Alberta) Wood, of Bellflower, Calif.; two sons, Milburn and James McClellan, both of Wind Ridge, RD 1.; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Milliken of Freeport, Ohio and Mrs. Letha Rush, of Belpre, Ohio. One son and four sisters are deceased.
Funeral services were held Wednesday with burial in Wind Ridge Cemetery.”211
