Is this John Thomas/Homer Thomas Staggers? 1850 PA Census lists Homer with Abraham and Catherine, b. ca 1822. Connie Staggers Andersen says that John Thomas, also known as Homer Thomas, was born May 7, 1820 and died July 21, 1889 in Jackson Township, Greene County, PA. He married Sarah Chess, who was born Feb. 14, 1822. Both John and his wife are buried in the Staggers Cemetery, Jackson Township, Greene Co., PA.439 In looking at the listing for the Staggers Cemetery in Hennen’s Cemetery Records of Greene Co., PA, there is no listing for John, Thomas, or Homer. Henry, with wife Sarah, and four children are listed with Abraham Staggers and Catherine Grim.118 Unfortunately, no dates match between cemetery records and records of Connie Andersen.
