Bertha M. Bonar, 75, of Belpre, passed away May 22, 2017 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Wood County, WV, January 22, 1942, a daughter of the late Albert S. and Mary V. Grimm Davis.
Bertha was an antique car enthusiast and attended many car shows. She enjoyed gardening, Karaoke singing and visiting with friends and family. She retired from Kmart after twenty-four years with the store. She had also worked for Ollies Bargain Outlet and Family Dollar at the Belpre location. She attended Landmark Baptist Church.
Surviving Bertha are her husband Lawrence L. McIntyre, three sons Delbert D. Bonar (Debra) of Texas, Albert M. Bonar (Carolyn) of Belpre, William J. Bonar of Pennsylvania, three grandchildren Mitchell, Gillian and Kyle, step son Eddie McIntyre (Michelle), three step grandchildren Titus, Hunter and Brianna, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to her parents, Bertha was preceded in death by two brothers Albert Jr., and Tommy Davis and sister Stella D. Starcher.
The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Mike Lamb officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m. on Thursday and for one hour prior to the service on Friday.
