BELMONT - Doris Adkins Hart, 90, of Belmont, formerly of St. Marys, died Oct. 19, 2003 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

She was born Oct. 12, 1913 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late William F. "Billy" and Nellie Bookman Adkins.
She was a member of the St. Marys Presbyterian Church and a graduate of St. Marys High School. In her earlier years, she was a secretary for the city of St. Marys, the former Colin Anderson Center, the Pleasants County Clerk's office and last with her husband for Bailey Oil and Gas Company.She is survived by one son, Rick Hart and his wife, Lila of St. Marys; one sister, Evelyn Clovis of St. Marys; four grandchildren, Niles Hart and Stacy Moody, both of St. Marys and Jennifer Beightler and Melanie McDowell of Columbus, Ohio; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Hart; one son, Leonard Hart, Jr.; two sisters, Frances Garber and Alice Bumgardner; and three brothers, Lawrence Adkins, Joe Adkins and Maurice Adkins.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys. Burial will be at the St. Marys IOOF Cemetery. Calling hours are from 5-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
