Obituary, Waynesburg Republican (Waynesburg, PA), February 2, 1968:
Mrs. Etta Kerns, 78, of Porsperity, formerly of Hundred, W. Va., died at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, 1968, in the Greene County Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 22, 1889, at Earnshaw, W. Va., the daughter of William and Catherine Grimm Garner.
Her husband, Winfield Kerns, died November 5, 1967.
Mrs. Kerns was a member of the Hundered Church of Christ.
Surviving are two daughters: Mrs. Virginia Bradley, of Prosperity, and Mrs. Ava Kuhn, of Warren, Ohio; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
One son is deceased.
Funeral services were held Thursday with burial in Harmony Cemetery.
