Neva L. Cornell, 77, of Vienna and formerly of Rt. 1, St. Marys, died May 23 in Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg. She was born Oct. 21, 1920, at Hebron to the late Walter and Trudia Jones Locke. She attended Nine Mile United Methodist Church, was a member of Nine Mile Homemakers Club and New Martinsville Chapter 50 of the Order of the Eastern Star and had been a former cook in the Pleasants County schools. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Bryce Goodwin of Vienna; two granddaughters, Crystal Wilburn and Sheryl Goodwin, both of Vienna; two sisters, Phillis Hall and Opal Locke, both of St. Marys; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Glenn Cornell, in 1993; one son, Dale Cornell, in 1995; three brothers, Harold, Norman and Winfred Locke; and one sister, Marie Cornell. Services will be Wednesday at 2pm at the Ruttencutter Funeral Home in St. Marys. Burial in the IOOF Cemetery in St. Marys.
