John Lewis Locke
Died September 16, 1989
John Lewis Locke, 83, of 1906 Latrobe St., Parkersburg, died Saturday in St. Joseph’s Hospital.
He was born in St. Marys, a son of the late John R. and Sophia Martin Locke. He was a member of First Lutheran Church and had retired from the meat department of Wood County IGA Stores.
He is survived by his wife, Winifred McConihay Sanford Locke; one step-daughter, Barbara Anderson of Clarksburg; five step-grandchildren, Dr. Jackson Anderson of Colorado Springs, Colo; Susan Rodeheaver of Pittsburgh, Pa; Lea Smith of Pittsburgh, Pa; Benjamin Anderson of Phoenix, Ariz; and John Anderson of Morgantown; six step great-grandchildren and three sisters, Margaret Greene of Parkersburg, Ora Wagner and Fonda Locke, both of St. Marys.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Locke; three sisters and three brothers.
Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9 today.365
