Fonda worked as a bookkeeper for the telephone company, and later for Davis Motor Co.140 She was living in St. Marys, WV in 1980.365

“Fonda H. Locke
Fonda H. Locke, 85, of St. Marys died April 10, 2004, at the Worthington Manor Care Center, Parkersburg.
She was born Oct. 12, 1918, in St. Marys, a daughter of the late John Ralph and Sophia Mae Locke. She was a 1937 graduate of St. Marys High School and a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church, St. Marys, where she was very active in the choir, was a longtime financial secretary and held various offices of the church. She had been employed by the former United Telephone Co., and had been secretary for the former Davis Motor Co., both of St. Marys.
She is survived by five nephews and four nieces, including French Wagner and his wife, Nellie, of St. Marys.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers and seven sisters.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Marys IOOF Cemetery, with the Rev. Larry Hooper officiating. Calling hours are 4-8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys.”9
