“Wesley C. Pettit, 78, died December 7, 1962 at the home of his sister, Mrs. Dell Headley Parsons of North Richhill Street.
He was a son of Cyrus W. and Mary Jane Morris Pettit, and was born October 12, 1884 in Richhill Township.
He married Lon M. Murphy, who died in 1958.
Surviving are two sisters, Haddie B. McDonald, of Mounsville, WV., and Dell Headley Parsons, of Waynesburg; and one brother, John L., of Wilmington, Del.
Three brothers are deceased.
Burial was in Centennial Cemetery.”498
