According to Bill Robey, the line of Samuel Thomas can be traced back to Edward I, King of England, and his second wife, Margaret, daughter of Philip III, King of France. The Thomas line is shown in Pedigree XXI of “Americans of Royal Descent” by Charles H. Browning, 1894, Vol. 1, pp. 80-81.
