Col. John Chew, of Somersetshire, England, b. 1590, d. 1655, immigrated to Vierginia in the “Charitie,” 1620. His wife, Sarah, same later in the “Sea Flower.” In 1625-9 he was a member of the Houre of Burgesses from Hog Island, and in 1642-4 from Yourk Co., Va.
