“Barney paid taxes in Ritchie Co., WV in 1898. He and Donna were living in Murphy District during the 1900 Census, with no children.
They eventually had 9 boys and 1 girl.
Barney taught school and lived in California.”766
“In 1905, Barney, Donna and three of their kids, Ogra, Velma and Glea moved to Duarte, CA from Ritchie County, WV. After having another son, Cree, who later changed his name to Buster, they moved up to Oleander, outside of Fresno. They were farmers and lived there until they died. They had five more sons. My dad was the youngest. They are all deceased.”457
