Obituary from Memory/Funeral Card:
“J. Blaine Grimm, aged 78 years, of 272 West Franklin street, well known retired postal employee, died at 3 a. m. Monday, June 20, 1960 after an illness of two years.
A resident of Waynesburg most of his life, Mr. Grimm was born June 10, 1882 in Richhill Township, near Wind Ridge, a son of Samuel and Lydia Goodwin Grimm. He came to Waynesburg as a young man and entered the postal service at the Waynesburg postoffice. he was one of the first city letter carriers when city dcelivery service was established in Waynesburg, later becoming a clerk in the postoffice and advanced to the position of assistant postmaster which he held at the time of his retirement some years ago. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Waynesburg.
His wife, Carolyn N. Grimm, died June 23, 1958. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Logan Leiben of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Blanche Summersgill of Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. Frances Tirrman of Phoenix, Arizona. He also leaves a number of nieces and nephews.”93 Note: Should be Frances Pirrman, not Tirrman.
