Eliza may have been a sister or niece of Rachel Crouse, wife of Abraham Crouse, of Pleasants Co., WV.108 The stone at her grave is broken so that the year of her death is not known, but she died “in the 20th year of her age.”108

According to Donald Hollcroft, Eliza was the daughter of Elijah and Rachel (Brown) Hollcroft, and the sister of Rachel M. Hollcroft who married Abraham Crouce/Caruse/Crouse.708
