Bernice Gene Leibold, 87, of Marysville died Thursday afternoon, December 8th, at Carriage Court following a brief illness. She was employed at the Marysville Sears Store for many years and retired as the store manager after 20 years.

She was a longtime member of the Marysville First United Methodist Church, was a 4-H member in her youth and, in her adult life, was a longtime 4-H advisor.

Bernice enjoyed farming with her husband Bill, gardening, sewing, and raising her family on the farm. A favorite past time was feeding anyone who happened to be at the farm at lunchtime.

She was born March 12, 1924 on the family farm to the late John Lee and Ruth Mildred Lee Parrott and was also preceded in death by a brother Harold Parrott. She married William F. Leibold October 9, 1952 in Cleveland. He preceded her in death February 2, 2005.

Bernice is survived by her children, Gwynn N. Schultz of Hilliard, Mark W. (Shirley) Leibold of Marysville, Craig L. (Hang) Leibold of Houston, TX; 6 grandchildren, Winifred Hix, Frederick (Alyson) Schultz, Gretchen Schultz, Jared (Nicole) Leibold, Alison (Rick) Ronco, Paxton Leibold, Dash Leibold; 9 great grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Edith Mae Parrott of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Allen of Canal Winchester and Ruth Leibold of Richwood.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-5pm at the Ingram Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 11 am Monday. The family will also receive family and friends 1 hour prior to the service on Monday. The Rev. Aaron Brown will officiate at the services with family burial service to be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Union County Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
