Obituary, from Laura Nelle Mallett:
“Henry Nelson, 54, died at 8:15 or 8:45 AM Tuesday, Feb. 9, in his home on the Burnsville road, three miles south of Claysville.
Mr. Nelson, a son of Rufus and Evaline Grimm Nelson, was born June 28, 1888, in Richhill Township, Greene County, and spent most of his life in that county. He was born and reared on the Nelson farm, on which stands the Fairview Methodist Church, and he will be buried in the Fairview Cemetery, on that farm.
He married Miss Mae Smith and after her death he married Miss Cecil Cunningham, who survives.
Also surviving are a son and two daughters, Arleigh Nelson, of Deerfield, Michigan; Mrs. Ione Smertneck of Glendale, W. Va., and Geraldine Nelson, at home, and two grandchildren, Harry Lee Nelson and Allan Snertneck. There are three brothers and one sister, W. E. Nelson, of West Finley, A. G. Nelson, John R. Nelson and Mrs. Harry Ferrell, of Graysville.”
