Obituary:
“Kenneth R. Kerr
Former Wayne Township supervisor
Kenneth R. “Jim” Kerr, 77, of Brave, died Saturday, January 30, 1999, in Integrated health Services of greater Pittsburgh, Greensburg.
He was born May 12, 1921, in Jackson Township, a son of Phillip Rex and brooksie Moniger Kerr.
He was a retired member of Operating Engineers Local 66-B and was a Wayne Township supervisor for 12 years.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Mary Jo Ormiston Kerr; two sons, James Kerr of Smithfield and Phillip Kerr of Brave; a daughter, Kimbeerly Moore of Route 1, Spraggs; a brother, George Edison Kerr of Waynesburg; two sisters, Irma Strope of Meyersdale and Marlene Phillips of Waynesburg; and five grandchildren, heather Lynn and Joseph Jared Moore, and Kelly Jo, Christopher Scott and James Eli Kerr.
Deceased are a son, Kenneth Earl Kerr, who died in infancy; and infant granddaughter; five sisters, Maude Weaver, Margaret Bateson, Annabelle Weaver, Betty Jean King and Faye Nelson; and three brothers, Samuel R. Kerr Jr. [sic], Eli F. and Raymond M. Kerr.”
