“Rivesville, W. VA.--
Eli F. “Joe” Kerr, 50, of Rivesville RD 1, W. Va., died at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at his home of a heart attack.
He was born Nov. 7, 1924 at Holbrook to Rex Kerr, deceased and Brooksie Moniger Kerr, who survives.
Mr. Kerr was retired after 22 years with the Hope Natural Gas Co.
He served in World War II with the Army in the Pacific Theatre. He was a member of Valley Chapel Methodist Church of Burton, W. Va.
He is survived by his wife, Clara Crouse Kerr and the following children: Gary Kerr of Wana, W. Va., Karen Miller of Wana, W. Va., Elaine Kerns of Graysville, David Craig of Mannington, W. Va., Mrs. Gary (Sheila) Swisher of Rivesville, W. Va., and Terry Wrobleski of Fairview, W. Va. One grandson, Jerry Swisher survives. The following sisters also survive: Mrs. Harold (Maude) Weaver of Washington, Mrs. Wiley (Margaret) Bateson of Waynesburg, RD, Mrs. John (Irma) Strope of Myersdale, Mrs. George (Annabelle) Weaver of Washington, Mrs. Marlene Phillips of Spraggs, Mrs. Robert (Faye) Nelson of Brave and Mrs. Thomas (Betty Jean) King of Waynesburg RD 4.
The following brothers survive: Samuel R. Kerr of Delmont, Kenneth (Jim) Kerr of Brave and George (Ed) Kerr of Pine Bank. One brother, Raymond, is deceased.

Va., who died Sunday will be received from 709 p.m. Tuesday and from 2-4 and 7-9 Wednesday in the Garrison Funeral Home in Waynesburg where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Leonard W. Mayle officiating. Interment will follow in Toothman Cemetery, Fairview, W. Va.”97
