Obituary:
“ Mary J. Wright, 89, of 1505 Fourth St., Monongahela (formerly of Waynesburg), died at 12:30 A.M. Thursday, May 18, 1972 at Monongahela. She had not been in the best of health for several months.
She was born Dec. 20, 1882 in Jackson Township, near Delphene, a daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson and Rebecca Rush Staggers. Her husband, Norton R. Wright, died June 18, 1945.
Mrs. Wright spent her early life in the Brave area, lived in Waynesburg for several years, and resided in Monongahela for the past two years.
Mrs. Wright was a member of the Washington Street United Methodist Church, and the WSCS of the church. She was also a member of the Women’s Bible Class.
She is survived by one daughter Mrs. Barbara Houston of Crossett, Ark.; one son, Paul M. of Monongahela; one grandson, Paul N. Wright of Chicago, Ill.; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
One infant sister and one brother, George W. Staggers preceded her in death.”94

Saturday at Marimer and Milliken Funeral Home, 197 North Maiden St., Waynesburg, where services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Sunday 21, with Rev. Palph W. ??? officiating. Burial ??? Cemetery.”94
