“Wilma Emma Thompson, 74, of Farmington, died Sept. 30 in Farmington. She was born April 8, 1909 in Farmington to the late Perry and Emma Mund Burch. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer William Thompson.
She is survived by one son, Elmer (Sonny) Thompson, of St. Louis; two sisters: Mrs. Fredona Kassabaum and Mrs. Rose Bales, both of Farmington; two grandchildren; one special friend, Carol Botkin, who was raised in the home and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services were held Sunday at the Miller Funeral Chapel with Rev. J. Lacey officiating, assisted by Rev. Jerry Cowin. Burial was in Doe Run Memorial Cemetery.
If desired, memorials may be made to the Pendleton Baptist Church or the Farmington First Baptist Church.”1298
