Obituary, Waynesburg Democrat-Messenger, Tuesday, May 12, 1936:
“Mrs. Sadie Courtwright (Sugar Grove Cem.)
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 12, 15 2 P.M., for Mrs. Sadie Pettit Courtwright, aged 60 years, nine months, and three days, who died Sunday morning, May 10 at her home in Aleppo township. The rites will be in charge of Rev. B. K. Betts. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery.
She was the widow of William Courtwright, who died in 1928. She is survived by four brothers, three sisters, and 14 children. The children are Jennie, Earle, Harry, Leonard, Kenneth and Albert, at home; James, Thomas, Roy, William, Robert, Mrs. Betty Berdine and Mrs. Myrtle Caldwell, all of Sugar Grove, and Mrs. Edna Morris of Washington.”1564
