Obituary:
“Jesse E. Crawford, son of the late W. S. and Ruth Crawford, was born March 15, 1887, at Doe Run, Mo., and departed this life at his home near Farmington, on June 30, 1950, after a lingering illness, aged 63 years, 3 months and 15 days.
On March 11, 1915, he was united in marriage to Maggie Burch, at Farmington, Mo. To this union four children were born who with the wife survive. They are Clarence, of St. Louis; Ruth (Mrs. Joe) Schmelzle, of Pharr, Texas; Rose (Mrs. Clarence) Herbst and Howard Crawford, both of Farmington. He also leaves eight grandchildren; one brother, Davis F. Crawford, and one sister, Margaret (Mrs. Zeno) Jones, both of Farmington, and many other relatives, One brother, Tom Crawford, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at three o’clock Monday afternoon at the Miller Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. Gordon M. Miller. Interment was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Doe Run.”1298
