Obituary, The Morning Herald (Uniontown, PA), Saturday, March 16, 1929:
“Charles V. McCoy, aged 57 years, of Brownsville, died Friday morning, March 15, 1929, at 7:30 o’clock in the Somerset Hospital after an illness of more than a year. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Emma McCoy; five children, Mrs. M. W. Walker of South Brownsville, James G., Lawrence, Walter and Elizabeth McCoy at home; two sisters, Mrs. David Troy of West Brownsville and Mrs. John Fair of Pittsburgh, and a brother, Woods McCoy of Brownsville township.
Funeral services will be held in the home Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock with the Rev. Mr. Hall officiating. Burial will be in Redstone cemetery, Brownsville.”
