“Robert D. Stockdale
Ford Motor Co. retiree
Robert D. Stockdale, 73, of Wayne, Mich., died Thursday, April 23, 2009, in his daughter's home in Howell, Mich.
He was born April 26, 1935, in Holbrook, a son of Millard Stockdale and Georgia Morris Stockdale of Waynesburg.
Mr. Stockdale worked for Chrysler Corp. and retired as a supervisor for Ford Motor Co. in Dearborn, Mich. He also was self-employed in real estate.
He attended school in Center Township School District and took advanced classes relating to his work.
Surviving are two daughters, Carla Nash of Dorman, Okla., and Cindy Jekrzewski of Howell, Mich.; a son, Michael Stockdale of Westland, Mich; and four grandchildren.
Also surviving are three sisters, Juanita Broadwater of Waynesburg, Hilda Huey of Carmichaels and Patty Faux of Imperial; and two brothers, George (Sonny) Stockdale of Glendale, Ariz., and Stanley Carroll Stockdale of Jefferson.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, Millard and Georgia Stockdale, are a brother, Neil Stockdale; and a sister, Sandra Elaine Stockdale.”
