Noel L. Cornell, 67, of St. Marys, died at St. Joseph's Hospital in Parkersburg Saturday evening. He was born in Ritchie County, a son of the late George and Sarah Johnston Cornell. He was retired from the Quaker State Oil Refining Corp. and was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Mary Locke Cornell; a son Rodney Cornell of Manassas, VA; a daughter, Nancy Nichols of Wellston, OH; a brother, Wilbur Cornell of St. Marys; a sister, Dessie Fleming of St. Marys; and a granddaughter. The funeral was held at 2pm Tuesday at the Ruttencutter Funeral Home in St. Marys. Burial in the IOOF Cemetery in St. Marys.
