“Hanlin, Carl R.
Carl R. Hanlin, a retired sales representative with Exxon Corp., died Sunday of heart disease at Memorial Medical Center. He was 82. Mr. Hanlin was born in Three Mile, W.Va., and lived in New Orleans. He was a member of the Exxon Club. Survivors include his wife, Lucette Lassere Hanlin; a son, Thomas Hanlin; a daughter, Shirley Rogowski; two stepsons, Jerome Labat and S. Ralph Labat Jr.; three brothers, Bruce, Paul and Dale Hanlin; three sisters, Phyllis Butler, Fern Coberly and Lois Phillips; four grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 13281 Louisiana 644, Vacherie. Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
