October 18, 2010
Carolyn Grimm Welch, 81, of Wick, W.Va., passed away Oct. 15, 2010 at Sistersville General Hospital.
She was born June 11, 1929, a daughter of the late Robert (Doc) Chester Grimm and Sadie Railing Grimm.
She was the owner of Budget Finance Co. and she was a member of the Sistersville Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her husband, John James Welch of Wick; son, Daniel (Karen) Welch of Paden City; daughters, Melissa (Chuck) Placer of St. Clairsville and Tabatha (Sharon Stackpole) Welch of Ponce Inlet, Fla.; brother, Dan Grimm of Parkersburg; sister, Carmen Silliman of Sistersville and six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jon Jeffrey Welch.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Dennis Shirer officiating. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at Myers Funeral Home. Interment will be at Friendly Cemetery.
