“Clarence William Rawson, Jr.
New Cumberland - Clarence William "Bill" Rawson Jr., 42, of Pearl Street died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 1998 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, following a short illness. He was born March 27, 1956 in Steubenville, a son of the late Clarence William Sr. and Emma Leona Blake Rawson. He was a member of the New Cumberland Nazarene Church. Besides his mother, he is survived by a son, Clarence W. "B.J." Rawson III of New Cumberland; two daughters, Heather Chesalavich of Punxsutawney, PA and Mellisa L. Rawson of New Cumberland; two sisters, Madlyn Moncrief of New Cumberland and Myrtle Ward of Alliance; two brothers, George Rawson and Philip Rawson, both of New Cumberland; and two grandchildren. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at the Turley Funeral Home. Burial will be in New Cumberland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.”
