Robert and Sarah moved to Grand Ridge, LaSalle Co., IL with their four year old son Caleb after the deaths of their first two children. They lived at the Antram homestead, purchased by Robert’s father, Caleb, in 1869. They helped establish the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Grand Ridge in 1870. In 1912 the couple moved into the village of Grand Ridge.
