Robert settled in Chester Co., PA,before 1687, presumably to be free to worship as a Quaker. He was known as Robert of Rockland Manor. He came here with his younger brother, Richard Woodward, Sr.,, and their sister Elizabeth with her husband, Thomas Eavenson (Thomas had been previously married to Hannah Woodward, who was deceased).1617
