“Shirley Wayne Cooper
Shirley Wayne Cooper, 75, of Coolville, Ohio, died peacefully in his sleep Nov. 23, 2012, after a long illness.
He was preceded in death by his father, Loura; his mother, Lottie; his brother, Philip; his granddaugher, Ashley; his grandson, Chris; and his beloved wife of 52 years, Norma.
He is survived by his sister, Naomi; his brothers, Robert and Dennis; his children, Debra (Johnny) Weaver, David, Brian, Cynthia, Robert (Melissa), Brenda (Jorge) Sura-Villalta and Elysia; along with nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A lifelong skilled carpenter, Shirley enjoyed his family, gardening, hunting and anything he could do on his Massey, along with activities with his church family at Little Hocking Church of Christ. There has never been a more loving father.
Memorial services will be held at Little Hocking Church of Christ in Little Hocking, Ohio, just off U.S. 50. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Monday, followed by a service at 6 p.m. After the services, snack foods will be offered by the church.
