Admiral Dewey "John or Dewey" Starcher II, 46, of Parkersburg, passed away on November, 23, 2011 at CAMC Memorial Campus. He was born in Parkersburg, November 19, 1956 a son of the late Admiral Dewey and Stella Pearl Davis Starcher.
He liked to working on motorcycles, loved animals and cherished his family. He worked for S&W Resources, went to peer group and met lots of friends there that he liked, loved his childhood dog Duke. He will be missed dearly by family and friends.
Admiral is survived by his son James Dewey Letta, sisters Arlene Sue Vugrinovich, Sharlene Allender, Maggie Whaley, all of Parkersburg, brother Charles Junior Davis of Belleville and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Admiral was preceded in death by a sister Irene Davis Lyons Wise, brothers Bobby Davis, Harvey Davis, one nephew, one great niece and one great nephew.
The funeral service will be 1:00 pm Wednesday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Bob Casto officiating. Burial will be at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5-8 on Tuesday.
