Mabel R. Wadsworth, 92, of Darby, passed away Friday, May 30, 2008, at Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital in Hamilton.
She was born April 28, 1916, in Friendly, W.Va., the daughter of Alfred J. and Sylvia (McKnight) Duty.
After high school Mabel attended God's Bible School in Cincinnati. This is where she met Dallas Wadsworth and they were married in a double wedding with Mabel's sister in Wellsburg, W.Va.
Mabel was a member of the Friendly Gardner Garden Club and the Conner Wesleyan Church. She was devoted to her church and family with a quiet and gentle spirit.
Mabel was preceded in death by her husband Dallas Wadsworth; brothers Vernon, Claude and Harold; sisters Clelia and Catherine; and grandson Timothy Goracke.
She is survived by her son David Wadsworth of Salem, Ore.; daughter Beth Goracke of Conner; brother Tom Duty of Florida; sister Jesse Platt of West Virginia; grandchildren Kent Olsen, Josh Wadsworth, Tessa Wadsworth, Jared Wadsworth, Mark Goracke, Samuel Goracke, Matthew Goracke and Daniel Goracke; great-grandchildren Brent, Brittany, Vashti, Moriah, Cache', Dylan, Hannah, Reuben, Amiah, Dena, Dalene, Desteni and Devon; and great-great-grandson Bradley.
Burial will take place at Lone Pine Cemetery in Darby.
