Maymie Ellen Pratt, 60, Rt. 18 North, West Union, Doddridge County, died 2:10 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 1984 at her residence following a 5 year illness.
She was born April 25, 1924 at Alma, Tyler Co., a daughter of the late Cyrus V. and Martha Jane (Kendall) DeLoe. She married Dale Pratt, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons; Benny Dale Wharton, Tyler City and Forest Gene Powell, Wilbur; four sisters, Lynna Bowen, Horner, Lena Weekly, West Union, Mabel Spencer, Fairmont, and Ruth Reger, Clarksburg; 3 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Four sisters and 3 brothers preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Sunrise Baptist Church at West Union and a former machine operator for West Union Garment Co., The Pennsboro Mfg. Co., and Economy Industries at Harrisville.
Services 2 p.m. Monday, July 30 at Spurgeon Funeral Home in West Union with Rev. Russell Crawford officiating. Burial was in the West Union Masonic Memorial Park.
