West Union- Bacil B. COSTILOW, 83, Homestead Street, West Union, died Feb. 25, 1995 at Louis A. Johnson Veterans Administration Hospital, Clarksburg, after a sudden illness.
He was born in Nutters Fork, Doddridge County, WV, a son of the late Simon Arch and Victoria Mae McKINNEY COSTILOW. He worked for McCallister Lumber of Warren, OH, prior to World War II, and was a former owner and operator of Costilow Home Repair in Doddridge County and Costilow Paint Shop in West Union. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and avid gardener and a member of West Union Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Conrad COSTILOW of West Union and Boyd "Henry" COSTILOW, of Yukon, Okla; a stepdaughter, Jeanette TINGLER of Pennsboro; two grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bertha E. DeLOWE COSTILOW; second wife, Lula M. GREGG COSTILOW; three brothers, Cecil COSTILOW, Elsie Ray "Jack" COSTILOW and an infant; and two sisters, Edith WRIGHT and Eva BLAND.
Services 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sprugeon Funeral Home, West Union, the Rev. Mark Wilmoth officiating. Burial Masonic Memorial Park, Route 18 North, West Union.
Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday.
