Norman L. Lamp, 61, of Mingo Junction, Ohio, died Dec. 24, 1991, in the emergency room at Ohio Valley Hospital in Steubenville.
He was born in Hebron, WV, a son of Charlene Cox Butcher of St. Marys and the late Eugene Lamp. He was at the time of his death the Exalted Ruler of the Elks Lodge No. 231 in Steubenville and the treasurer of the G. K. L. Wildlife Sportsmen Club of Mingo Junction. He was employed in the tractor repair department of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel’s Mingo Junction plant. He was a Protestant by faith.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Whaley Lamp; two sons, David Lamp and Michael Lamp, both of East Liverpool, Ohio; four daughters, Janice Moore of Empire, Ohio, and Karen Hatfield, Debra Dray and Sheila Lamp, all of Mingo Junction; one sister, Ruth McPeek of Pennsboro; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, sister, and son.
Services were held at 11 am, Dec. 28, at the McClave Chandler Mills Funeral Home, Steubenville. Burial was in the Union Cemetery, Steubenville.
