Anthony L. “Tony” Stead, 61, of Moundsville, WV, formerly of Reynoldsburg, Columbus, OH passed away June 1, 2011 at OVMC.
He was born September 9, 1949 in Friendly, WV a son of the late Floyd “Pete” Stead and Verna Isabell “Margie” Grimm Stead.
Tony was a clinical psychologist practicing in the Columbus area. He was a 1967 graduate of Sherrard High School and a graduate of West Liberty State College and graduated with his Masters from Radford University in Virginia.
He is survived by brothers, Kenneth D. (Linda) Stead of Paden City, WV, Dr. Floyd L. (Connie) Stead of Morgantown, WV, and Christy O. (Becky) Stead of St. Clairsville, OH; sisters, Rita M. Young of Moundsville, WV and Alice M. (“Bill”) Ewing of Wheeling, WV. He was a beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Services will be Friday at 10:30 am at Myers Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Shirer officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 at Myers Funeral Home. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
