Virgil W. Lough, 71, of McArthur, Ohio. amd formerly of Fairview, died Wednesday Aug. 27, 1997 at home. He was born January 11, 1926, son of the late Samuel Thomas and Ellen Marie Brewer Lough.
He was a United State Army veteran of World War II. He was a retired school teacher in Vinton County, Ohio, where he taught for more than 30 years.
He is survived by his wife Garnet Martin Lough, who he married Dec. 26, 1967; three sons, Larry Martin, Steve Martin, and Bob Martin; two daughters, Vivian Martin and Barbara Martin; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; six brothers, Robert Bernell of Grafton, Delmar Earl of Fairmont, Donald Eugene of Hagans, Jesse Kyle of Uriah, Ala., and Harold Wayne and Washington Leroy of Fairview; four sisters, Virginia Pauline, Lois Irene Lough and Edna Pearl Toothman of Fairview and Alberta Rose Harris of Waynesburg, Pa.
Friends may call at the Garrett Funeral Home, McArthur, Ohio from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home
