Grimm--Hope F., age 78, died October 27 at Westland House, Monterey. A native of Oakland, she was born March 10, 1927 and has lived locally for 51 years. Hope was very proud of serving as a US Army Medic during the Korean War with the rank of T-Sgt. She retired after working for 23 years at Monterey Peninsula College, a job she loved. An avid traveller, Hope visited countries all over the world and enjoyed experiencing different cultures and fine cuisine. Survivors include her daughter, Katherine L. Grimm of Seaside, her grandchildren, Melissa M. Garcia Grimm and Christopher M. Grimm and her great-grandchildren, Ashley and Kristin Grimm. Rosary will be recited on Thursday at 12:15 PM with Mass of the Resurrection at 1:00 PM, both at St. Francis Xavier Church, followed by burial with Military Honors at Mission Memorial Park under the direction of The Paul Mortuary.
