There is a grave for an Iris S. Cox in the same cemetery. She has the word “Mom” above her name, and Charles has the word “Dad” above his. First investigation seemed to suggest she was Iris Wingate, and that they married in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, but the marriage application shows his place of birth as North Carolina. Further research needed.
