Adeline Shriver, 92, of DeKalb, Illinois, died Sunday, August 11, 2013, at Kishwaukee Community Hospital, DeKalb.
Born December 12, 1920, in Paw Paw, the daughter of Robert L. and Ada M. (Simpson) Coss, Adeline married Homer E. Shriver on July 3, 1939, in Clinton, Iowa.
She worked for 28 years at General Electric in DeKalb.
She is survived by her children, Sally Johnson of Ogden, Utah, Tamara (Ron Hemmelgarn) Shriver of DeKalb and Robert (Donna) Shriver of DeForest, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Aaron (Allison) Shriver and Jason Shriver, both of DeKalb, Carl Shriver of Madison, Wisconsin, Sherry (George) Johnson Royal of Layton, Utah, Duane (Sherry) Johnson of Ogden, Utah, and Alan (Tanja) Johnson of Libby, Montana; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer, in 1987; grandson, Andrew; brother, Marvel Coss; and friend, James Bell.
A memorial visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, August 15, at Anderson Funeral Home, DeKalb.
Interment of cremated remains will be on a later date at Chapel Hill Memorial Park, Dixon. Cremation is by Anderson Funeral Home Crematory.
