Daphne Jill Doak, 50, of Parkersburg died March 6, 2002 in Gallipolis, Ohio.
She was born October 27, 1951 in Harrison County a daughter of Darrell and Hannah Matthews Moore.
She was a registered nurse working for Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital for 20 years and previous for the VA Hospital in Clarksburg, W.Va. for a number of years. She was a graduate of Doddridge County High School, attended Fairmont College and graduated from Salem College receiving her degree in nursing. She was also a member of Seventh Street United Methodist Church, Parkersburg.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband, John L. Doak; three daughters, Pamela Lewallen and her husband, Kevin of Thomasville, N.C., Jonna R. Doak of Parkersburg, Julie A. Whytsell and her husband, Evan of Lewis Center, Ohio; two granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Emily Lewallen of Thomasville, N.C.; three brothers, Alan Moore of Powell, Ohio, Kelby Moore of Worthington, Ohio, Dwight Moore of West Union, W.Va.; three sisters Jan Watson of Salem, W.Va., Meg Hutson of Wallace, W.Va., and Jo Jones of Pennsboro, W.Va.
She was preceded in death by one sister Amy C. Kierans.
Services will be Saturday 1 p.m. at Seventh Street United Methodist Church, the Reverend Lee Hammond officiating. Burial will be at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg.
