Dortha "Dot" Bodley, age 84, left peacefully on Friday, February 11th, 2011. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald V. Bodley. She is survived by her children Joyce (Richard) Jamieson, of Matthews NC, Diane Campbell of Kansas City MO and Karen (Brian) Durham of Johnstown, PA; seven grandchildren, Donald Dykeman, Laura (David) Polk, William Jamieson, Bryan (Heather) Morris, Stephen (Candace) Morris, Daniel Durham and Christopher Durham. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren and many special friends.
Dortha was a member of the Broad Avenue North-Presbyterian Church, Binghamton. Dortha was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending her days in the garden. She was an avid quilter and sewer and loved learning new technology.
Dortha's family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital for their loving care provided to Dortha.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 15th, 2011 at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, with Rev. Dr. Stephen W. Starzer, pastor of Broad Ave. Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Chenango Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 14th, from 5:00 ? 8:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Conemaugh Cancer Care Center, 1020 Franklin Street, Johnstown, PA 15905-4109.
