Last Thursday Mrs. Jane Darnell and daughter Miss Eliza Darnell’s home burned, located about 3 miles west of Middlebourne W. Va. on Big Run, near mouth of Sancho Creek. Lost $600.00 in money, furniture and clithing. Was partly a log house.
Eliza had gone to Next to do some trading. Mr. Flannigan lived short distance down run. John & Charley Woodburn & George Robinson fought flames in woods. They stayed temporarily with bood burns.
