Earl served in the US Marine Corps as a Private during WWII. He entered the service on July 23, 1945 and was discharged May 12, 1947. He attempted to receive World War II Compensation for serving in the war, but was denied because he did not have enough service during the war to qualify; he only had 42 of the needed 60 days to qualify.

Earl C. Grimm

Harlowton — Earl C. Grimm served in the military from 1945 to 1949 and had worked as a truck driver for many years.

Mr. Grimm, 61, died Wednesday night in his home in Harlowton of cancer.

He was born inPittsburgh, Pa., a son of Clarence and Eleanor Grimm.

Survivors include his wife, Esther; three sons, David of Clinton, Pa., Douglas of Harlowton and Duane of Wexford, Pa.; two daughters, Joyce Eichensels of Freemon, Pa., and Janet Cavanaugh of Helena; a sister, Shirley DeBianco [sic] of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and four grandchildren.

Servicew will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Assembly of God Church in Harlowton with burial in the Harlowton Cemetery. Perkins Funeral Home is in charge.
