“Donald Lee Staggers, 61, of Waynesburg, RD 3 died Sunday, November 26, 1989, in Greene county Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
He was born October 13, 1928, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Stacy Niles and Nellie Rush Staggers.
He had resided in the Waynesburg area all his life. He had been employed by Sutton’s Creamery and later by Bishoff’s Creamery.
Mr. Staggers was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, and was a member of James Farrell Post 330, American Legion, Waynesburg Post 4793, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Greene County ost 123, Disabled American Veterans, all of Waynesburg.
Surviving are his wife, Florence Kerns Staggers; two sons, David W. Staggers of Carmichaels and Stacy P. Staggers, of Killeen, Texas; three grandchildren, four sisters, Leona K. Baker of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Aldene Anderson of Marianna, and Melvina Clark and Lavaughn Staggers, both of Mt. Morris, and one brother, Frank Staggers of Connecticut.
Deceased are a daughter, Vickie Staggers, and a brother, Norman Staggers. (Greene Co. M. Park)”244
