John and Nancy moved to WV, sometime before son Jesse was born around 1857.313 They later moved to Ohio,57 where they appear in Delhi Township, Hamilton Co., in the 1900 census. They were also located in a city directory for Delhi Twp. in 1899.310

John served in the Civil War. He was a Captain in the Union Army - Co. D, 11th Regt., W.Va. Inf.312
