“William Graham Acklin is a son of Charles P. and Sarah (Graham) Acklin, and was born in Brownsville, April 11, 1870. He was educated in the Brownsville and Pittsburg [sic] schools and is now engaged in the bakery business with his father. he is also a member of the school board of Brownsville.”

Obituary, Daily Courier (Connellsville, PA), Thursday, June 12, 1945:
William G. Acklin, 75, who for years operated a grocery store with his father and later a baking and dairy business and in recent years an automobile accessories and supplies business at Brownsville died at noon Saturday at his home there. Surviving are his widow and a daughter.
Obituary:
“W. G. Acklin Dies Here Saturday
WIlliam G. Acklin, 75, died after a brief illness at noon Saturday at his home, 420 Brashear street, North Side.
A lifelong resident here, Mr. Acklin was the son of Charles G. and Sarah Graham Acklin.
He conducted an auto accessory and supplies business on upper Market street for years and previously was associated in the grocery business with his father and later the baking and dairy business. He was a member of the First Presbyterian church.
Mr. Acklin leaves his wife, Alice Dawson Acklin, and a daughter, Mary Alice. He was a cousin of Frank Acklin, Tyrone.
Friends are being received at the Ross funeral home. Funeral tomorrow at 10:30 a. m. with the Rev. Wm. Howard Strohm, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, officiating. Burial will be in Redstone cemetery.”
