“Nelle S. Cumberledge
Nelle S. Cumberledge, 72, of Waynesburg, R. D. 2, died at 2:10 p.m. Saturday, October 9, 1971, following a lengthy illness.
She was born March 30, 1899, in Jackson Township, a daughter of the late Thomas Robert and Mary Etta Williams Stockdale.
On July 25, 1918, she married Ray Cumberledge, who died March 6, 1959.
Mrs. Cumberledge was a lifelong resident of Jackson Township, until recently and was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons; Paul and Robert Cumberledge, both of COlumbus, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Margretta) Replogle, of Dunedin, Fla.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and two brothers: David Stockdale, of Holbrook Star Route, and Frank Stockdale, of Zanesville, Ohio.
Two sisters and three brothers are deceased.
Funeral services were held Tuesday with burial in Bethany Cemetery.”517
